Thu, October 25, 2012 | weddingsTwo world travelers had a tiny town in Wisconsin’s Northwoods in common before they ever met. Jonathan’s grandfather used to take him fishing up north. Ashley spent summers running around in the woods and splashing in the lakes with her siblings. It made perfect sense for the two to plan a Northern Wisconsin destination wedding. Their wedding day was gorgeous with all the fall colors (but chilly!). It was a gorgeous scene, filled with beautiful emotion. The guests who traveled to little Manitowish Waters, the unruly wind, the homage paid to Ashley’s mom, the yellow leaves, the scent of pine, the tranquil woods, the best man’s (Jonathan’s son) important role, the cozy reception: it was all so poetic. Perfect for Jonathan & Ashley.

Great work. The fun, relaxed (but stylish) vibe was captured. This must have been a wonderful wedding to be at. If only more would do it this way. Loved the Little Bohemia, WI setting.

I love these pictures! Isn’t this the way weddings should be. (Is that a restored Chris Craft boat? Wow.) Looks like the location was an hour or two away from the beautiful North Shore…makes me miss that whole area so much.
