personal: lucky girl.

Jess: “Well, at least I have a beautiful wife.”
We decided I’d be Mrs. Limelife full time to see where we could get this little business of ours. No pressure. And Mr. Limelife, as fresh and alive and vibrant as he is, would have to share his time, mind and lovely wife with Mr. Second Job. It’s the only way we could make it work. You see, my husband is the most self-less person I know. And hard-working. And patient. He’s confident in me, us and this whole fruity dream of ours. When my vulnerability gets the best of me, he’s always there to wring out my tears and prop me right back up.
Our priorities go like this: God, our marriage, Limelife Photography. Jess drives a ’91 Chevy he bought from his grandpa for $100. If you’ve ever hitched a ride, you know its quirks give it character and great entertainment value. But recently the passenger side window went down and never got up again. Refreshing on summer days. Not so refreshing on damp, windy nights. But it hasn’t been a priority.
The dentist tells Jess he has soft teeth. (Sorry, Baby Cakes, for the information I’m about to disclose.) In the last 6 months, two molar crowns cracked, had to be removed; and now he needs a couple of new teeth. (Thankfully, this is all going on FAR, FAR in the back!) I keep saying, “Let’s get you some teeth.” He keeps saying: “It’s not important right now.”
I was just on the phone with Mr. Second Job. It’s chilly tonight, for San Diego. I’m cozied up with tea and blankets. He’s driving home in his Chevy Windtunnel. And this is how the conversation goes:
Me: “I’m sorry, babe. You don’t have any windows or any teeth.”
Jess: “Well, at least I have a beautiful wife.”
Thanks to all of you, business is fantastic, and we’ll be filling the holes in our life with new glass and teeth soon! I didn’t tell you about our minor misfortunes for pity. Just for appreciation of Mr. Limelife and his love for me.
(We took this of ourselves almost three years ago, just before we added limes to our life.)

Awe, we love Mr and Mrs Limelife, even if they are toothless and windowless. Its so refreshing to see a couple with important priorities in their life, who can narrow it down with such will and determination. (and have God be #1)
You are amazing, talented, and loved, all the way around.
