I love chocolate. Heck, I just love dessert. One of my favorite parts of a wedding is taking that first big bite of the cake. Since our first wedding of the year isn’t until May 1, I figured I’d get my fix at this place I’ve been wanting to try: For the Love of Cake (catchy, huh?). It’s in Escondido right off Via Rancho Pkwy. off the 15. I got myself a peanut butter chocolate cupcake. I have great intentions of sharing half of it with Jesse. But half is all that’s left, it’s sitting about 18 inches from me and he gets home in about 5 hours. We’ll see what happens. Anyway, it’s SO DELISH! I figured the icing was peanut butter (which it is) but was pleasantly surprised when I took the first bite and found peanut butter chunks inside, too 🙂
Brides, check it out: For the Love of Cake was voted one of the top wedding cake vendors in the 2010 issue of The Knot Magazine.

Gorgeous photos of Laurie’s new shop. I haven’t made it up there to check it out yet but now I feel like I got a little glimpse of it. Your cupcake looks delicious!
