I met Dana 11 years ago in the dorms at University Wisconsin – La Crosse. I remember thinking how pretty she was, and that sort of intimidated me. Then, one day, we bumped into each other in the hall, started talking and became FAST friends. Jason, her boyfriend at the time, would come visit and we’d all see them off and “awwwww” at how cute they were.
Six years ago Dana & Jason got married in Minnesota. And since then I’ve been living in California and don’t get to see them nearly as much as I’d like. Now they have two beautiful kids. I got to spend a couple days with them and it had me “awwwwww”ing all over again. Jess stayed in CA to shoot a wedding (you’re SOOOO going to want to check back to see those shots!!!) and got to keep all the goods (our favorite lenses, bodies and flashes), but I HAD to bring something. So, I brought my old school Nikon D90 and our old 50mm 1.8. My point in sharing is to show that no matter what you’re shooting with, you can always get something good 😀
